Miksang Miksang, Tibetan for "Good Eye", is a form of
Contemplative Photography, born out of Shambhala's
founder Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche's teachings on
perception. Students follow a course in which they
first strip down the distractions around their
perceptions, then rebuild a clearer view with all the
space they have found was always there.
Miksang is offered as three levels - Level 1 as a
weekend course, then Level 2 as a series of reviews
over time with the larger Miksang group. Level 3 and
Miksang's cousin photography form, Absolute Eye, are
offered when our senior teacher, John McQuade, comes
from Toronto to teach them.
Please see www.miksang.org for more information about
Miksang International Society, and see our Happenings
page for registration for a weekend of Miksang.
