Using Acharya Gaylon Ferguson’s book, Natural Wakefulness: Discovering the Wisdom We Were Born With as a guide, participants will practice mindfulness-awareness meditation as the basis for deepening their capacity to be present for their lives.

Summer Dathün with Acharya Jenny Warwick and Acharya Allyn Lyon
Dathun, Tibetan for “moon session,” is an intensive group meditation retreat for new and experienced meditators interested in deepening their mindfulness-awareness. Through this immersive program, the practice of meditation goes beyond the cushion, with every aspect of daily life becoming a practice of wakefulness and an opportunity to make better friends with ourselves and our world.

Ikebana : Japanese Flower Arranging for Beginners and Non-Beginners with Brooke Pohl
In this workshop we will work with our state of mind as we engage in arranging flowers using the elements of heaven, earth and human. Training in this way helps us to connect fully to our world with non-aggression and to express our heart and mind through flowers. New and experienced students are welcome.

Shambhala Training Level I — The Art of Being Human with Bill Hubbert
In this 2 day workshop, students are introduced to the idea of basic goodness and the practice of meditation in a supportive, social environment. As the weekend companion to “Meditation in Everyday Life,” The Art of Being Human is the first of the five weekend workshops that include meditation training and practice, talks by senior instructors, personal interviews and group discussions.
