Meditation is a powerful tool to relieve all-pervasive suffering: A constant low-level anxiety, or sense of dissatisfaction, and the feeling that our mind is sometimes out of control.

Coming to Karmê Chöling:
Family Camp is a magical week for parents and children to spend together with friends old and new at Karmê Chöling, in the beautiful, rolling green hills of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. Watch the YouTube video entitled ‘Buddha Camp‘ created by Katie Frank. Family Camp is a program that combines meditation practice, community and family, outdoor time, and a wide range of activities.

Summer Dathün with Acharya Jenny Warwick and Acharya Allyn Lyon
Dathun, Tibetan for “moon session,” is an intensive group meditation retreat for new and experienced meditators interested in deepening their mindfulness-awareness. In this program, the practice of meditation goes beyond the cushion, with every aspect of daily life becoming a practice of wakefulness and an opportunity to make better friends with ourselves and our world.

A Vision for an Enlightened Society: a public talk by Kazuaki Tanahashi
Kazuaki Tanahashi is an artist, writer, and peace worker. As a painter and calligrapher, Kaz has had solo exhibitions of his brushwork worldwide. During the performance painting, Kaz will brush ideographs on the theme of an Enlightened Society, as well as circles of peace.
