The Shambhala Center of Madison is excited that Acharya Acharya Richard John will be teaching the Rigden Weekend  at the Madison Center on the weekend of October 26th to October 29th, 2018.  At this program, you will have the opportunity to take the Shambhala Vow, in which one makes a statement of commitment to holding the principle of basic goodness in one’s life. The vow is completely optional, and not a requirement to fully complete the weekend and cap your Way of Shambhala study.

In order to give students the opportunity to explore and understand the vow more completely before the weekend, and to have an opportunity to review and discuss the many ideas and practices that have covered in Shambhala Classes to this point, Shastri Mark Blumenfeld will be offering two classes to explore and discuss the meaning of the vow and any other questions that have arisen through Shambhala practice and study.

This class will be an open discussion of the meaning of the vow and a chance to ask and discuss any questions or issues that may come up around it.  All participants of the Rigden Weekend are strongly encourage to attend the class. If you can not attend in person, we will make a live Zoom video link available, as well as a recording of the class.

Shastri Blumenfeld is happy to answer any questions about the class via email or phone.
