While meditation has many benefits, establishing a consistent personal practice can be extremely challenging for both new and experienced meditators alike.

This course provides a strong foundation in mindfulness-awareness meditation. Each class will have guided meditation, exploration of how meditation works, exercises and group discussion. It is designed to provide students with the introductory tools and teachings for working with meditation in everyday life.

It also offers a glimpse of the Shambhala vision of enlightened society by emphasizing the ways in which meditation can impact our daily lives and how the sanity of meditation can expand to impact our whole society.

We'll meet each Saturday morning from June 22 through July 20 from 10 am until noon.
This course has no prerequisites and is open to anyone.

Our Generosity Policy

We have a generosity policy to make our offerings available to all who wish to participate. If the program price is an obstacle for you, we do have a “pay what you can” policy. Please consider what works for you, and offer as much of the program fee as you can. Setting up a payment plan for the full amount may also be an option to consider.

To use the Generosity Policy, please contact [email protected]

For those who can offer more than the program price, we have a “patron price”. Your generosity in offering the patron price helps cover the costs for others who are not able to pay the full price.
