Date details +
    Room: Main Shrine Room

Nyinthün is a  group practice of sitting and walking meditation that offers longer periods of practice.  Our practice will begin and end with a short set of traditional group chants and includes a dharma talk on meditation practice by Mark Blumenfeld, our senior teacher.

People of all levels of practice experience are always welcome.

    The power of group meditation
The group practice of Nyinthün is a special opportunity to extend and deepen one’s meditation. Being supported and carried by the energy of group practice helps us to stay with the practice in a uplifted and supportive environment. This energy inspires our own practice further than short daily sessions alone can do. The deepening of our personal practice afforded by Nyinthun in turn gives momentum to our regular daily practice.

Nyinthün is best experienced in its entirety, but people are free to join and leave the practice at any time.

We'll start at 9:00 am and offer sitting and walking meditation and a dharma talk in the morning. At noon, we will serve a vegetarian lunch at the center. We'll return to the shrine room at 1:30 pm, and practice till 4:30 pm. There will also be an afternoon talk and discussion.

Meditation Instruction is available upon request.

Please register below to let us know you are coming and indicate in the comment field if you are staying for lunch.

This Program is free, but donations to the Shambhala Center are appreciated.
