Tai chi is a moving meditation, an adaptable exercise, and a gentle martial art that emphasizes inner mastery. It is well known as one of the best forms of exercise for improving balance, and more recent research is finding tai chi can significantly improve mood, chronic pain, cognitive function, and high blood pressure.

Rachel Sandretto has taught tai chi in the Madison area for the past twelve years. She also manages Tai Chi Health, founded by Tricia Yu in Madison in the 1990s, which has the mission of making this beautiful practice accessible to everyone who wants to learn. Tai Chi Fundamentals® aims to maintain the rigor and principles of traditional tai chi while making it more suitable for practitioners with a wide range of physical needs.
