Radiating Out with Savory Sunday

Summer Dates:

June 28 and August 16

Madison Shambhala Center regularly participates in Savory Sundays.  Savory Sunday has been in operation since 2005 and “has been serving up fresh hot meals with the intent of providing the most satisfying free feast in town. As ‘Savory’ has grown, so has [their] connection with the community. In addition to addressing the pervasive issue of homelessness, Savory Sunday continues to build friendships with those [that are] served.”

Volunteer opportunities consist of preparing meals or serving meals.  Preparation of meals is at 325 N. Mills St from 11am-1:30pm.  Serving meals is at 1:45-3:30pm.

During the summer serving is at James Madison Park—meet at west end, rather than capitol basement!

We need a minimum of 5 volunteers but, of course, more are welcome.  We send out dates of our times with Savory Sunday in the Madison Shambhala Center e-mail newsletters.   Please let Tuyet Cullen know if you are interested in joining us.

It is a rich experience for your soul.
