Learning to work with our anxiety, we are not blocked by fear. Through an exploration of the Buddhist teachings of mind and the nature of reality, we learn to see clearly. We dare to face life and death as they are. The meditator, open to uncertainty, goes beyond the emotions of hope and fear to experience equanimity.

The Fearlessness in Everyday Life series mixes meditation with the vastness of space beyond concept. Through an exploration of the Buddhist teachings of emptiness and clear seeing, the meditation opens to the groundlessness, uncertainty and creativity of the world as it is. By exploring the entrapping emotions of hope and fear, we learn to soar fearlessly like the mythical bird known as the Garuda.

Prerequisites:  Ideally, students have completed the Joy in Everyday Life class or at least one other class the In Everday Life series. The Way of Shambhala curriculum is designed to be taken in conjunction with Shambhala Training weekends. Shambhala Training Levels I-V are recommended but not required.

Our Generosity Policy

We have a generosity policy to make our offerings available to all who wish to participate. If the program price is an obstacle for you, we do have a “pay what you can” policy. Please consider what works for you, and offer as much of the program fee as you can. Setting up a payment plan for the full amount may also be an option to consider.

For those who can offer more than the program price, we have a “patron price”. Your generosity in offering the patron price helps cover the costs for others who are not able to pay the full price.
