Community Supper and Movie Night

January 18th

Date details +
    Room: Shrine Hall

We're building a new tradition at the Madison Shambhala Center: Community Suppers! They will be held the 3rd Friday of the month, and you are warmly invited to join us!

Come meet other community members, relax, enjoy good food and conversation. If you would like to come just for the movie, that is fine too. We would love to see you there. All welcome!

We’ll provide a meal and time to socialize from 5:30-6:45, then we’ll screen the 2017 documentary “Walk with Me,” filmed at Buddhist icon and Vietnamese pacifist Thich Nhat Han’s Plum Village Monastery in France. Narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch, the documentary depicts the serene environment of Plum Village’s monks, visitors and, of course, their leader. Running time is 1 hour 34 minutes.

Please RSVP to [email protected], no later than Friday, January 18, at noon. Please state how many will be coming for dinner and what your dietary needs are. For example 2 people, vegetarian or gluten free, etc.

    Suggested donation: $5 per person
